Many bands struggle to establish their musical identity, laboriously trying on different musical styles like a piece of clothing, looking to find what fits. But there are others that emerge fully formed, in full command of their craft, their identity and their music. Hunting Delilah fits firmly in the latter category.
Hunting Delilah was formed in Birmingham, Alabama in 2013. The lineup of JT Sober (Vocals), Reid Beasley (Guitar), Saylor Anderson (Guitar), Troy Mowry (Bass) and Rob Gallagher (Drums), all veterans of the club circuit, came together with the idea of creating a band with excellent musicianship, harmony vocals, a high energy show and the ability to bring back the party atmosphere that is missing from most live shows in the current club scene. The energy that Hunting Delilah brings to the stage is one that you will see from few other bands.
“Our goal is to really put on a show like the great old circuit bands like Eli, Sidewinder and Still Rain,” says the bands toastmaster Troy Mowry, “Those guys brought such a fun atmosphere to the clubs. It was always like the biggest party in town was going on whenever they came to perform so the clubs were always packed and the cash registers were ringing, and that’s what we’re looking to do with our show. People want to be entertained, not just see a band.”
